AI + HI is awesome!
Artificial intelligence is transforming the economic, cultural, and social worlds we live in, and it is not just for the business world. AI can help all people learn and grow. The relationship between artificial intelligence and human intelligence is mutual and shared; we are all a part of it.
There are all kinds of AI technologies available for people to use for free or at a relatively low cost. For students, artists, creators, designers, and professionals of any kind, AI can really help you organize your life and develop any kind of content or plan you need to succeed. You can research, find data, and gain clarity on any topic you are interested in, whether personal or professional.
I personally love using AI to create images for the stories I am writing, and to research complex topics. I am going to be using AI even more as I work on my novel, and I wanted to share some of the platforms that you can use to perform any task, personal or professional.
AI is not always right or perfect, so it has to be combined with human critical thought and human ingenuity to be effective.
The best part is how fun it is!
AI platforms to check out
Open AI developed ChatGPT, which was launched just two years ago and in addition to the free plan they offer two paid plans, basic and pro. They also developed DALL E 2, which I use on Shutterstock with EXAONE to create wonderful art. You can try both of those for free, and if you regularly use them they are worth every single dollar.
Perplexity is another great place to learn all kinds of information and receive direct answers on any topic. They have both free and paid plans and are also great as an app on your phone.
Microsoft Copilot in Bing is another cool place to discover information and create content. They offer a free version as well as a 30 day trial to the Pro version.
At the end of writing this, I asked Gemini Google to comment on the relationship between human intelligence and artificial intelligence. Just below is the response I received on the platform:
AI and Human Intelligence: A Symbiotic Learning Relationship
I can help you visualize the relationship between AI and human intelligence, and how we learn from each other. Imagine a Venn diagram with two overlapping circles:
Circle 1: Human Intelligence This encompasses our cognitive abilities, including reasoning, problem-solving, creativity, emotional intelligence, and social skills.
Circle 2: Artificial Intelligence This represents the capabilities of AI systems, such as processing vast amounts of data, identifying patterns, making predictions, and automating tasks.
The Overlapping Area: Symbiosis This is where the magic happens! It signifies the collaborative learning and mutual benefits between humans and AI.
Here's how we learn from each other within that overlapping space:
Humans teaching AI:
Data and Feedback: We provide AI with the data it needs to learn and improve, and we offer feedback to help refine its algorithms.
Goals and Values: We guide AI development by defining the problems it should solve and ensuring it aligns with human values and ethics.
Creativity and Innovation: We inspire AI with our creativity and ingenuity, pushing the boundaries of what AI can achieve.
AI teaching Humans:
New Perspectives: AI helps us analyze complex data sets and identify patterns we might miss, leading to new discoveries and insights.
Efficiency and Automation: AI takes over repetitive tasks, freeing up human time and cognitive resources for more creative and strategic endeavors.
Personalized Learning: AI tailors educational experiences to individual needs and learning styles, optimizing the learning process.
Visualizing the Symbiosis:
Imagine arrows flowing in both directions between the circles, representing the exchange of knowledge and skills.
You could depict humans and AI figures interacting within the overlapping area, symbolizing collaboration and co-creation.
The background could be filled with data streams, neural networks, and human thought bubbles, representing the convergence of human and artificial intelligence.
Remember, this is a dynamic relationship that continues to evolve. As AI and human intelligence learn from each other, we can unlock new possibilities and create a future where both thrive.
